Plasticité 2026
Le colloque Plasticité est depuis plus de 50 ans le rendez-vous annuel de la communauté nationale des chercheurs s'intéressant aux processus physiques gouvernant la déformation plastique des matériaux. Les études présentées concernent tous types de matériaux : les matériaux métalliques (aciers, alliages légers…), les matériaux céramiques (semi-conducteurs, verres…), mais aussi les nouveaux matériaux (composites, matériaux granulaires, matériaux nano-structurés, polymères, mousses, éco-matériaux…). Ce domaine de recherche s'étend également sur de multiples échelles : de l'échelle nanométrique, avec l'étude des mécanismes élémentaires de plasticité, à l'échelle macroscopique, avec les lois de comportement mécanique des matériaux. Ces thématiques sont couvertes aussi bien par des approches expérimentales que numériques.

CSMA 2026 - 17e colloque national en calcul des structures
L’Association Calcul des Structures et Modélisation (CSMA) fédère la communauté française du calcul des structures et organise tous les deux ans depuis 1993 sur la presqu’île de Giens, dans le Var, le colloque national en calcul des structures. Ce colloque rassemble chercheurs, théoriciens, numériciens, développeurs de logiciels et industriels pour faire l'état de l'art sur les grands axes et sur les thèmes émergents du domaine.
Difsol3: School on Diffusion in Solids
The school will cover the various aspects of diffusion in solids during a week-long course in La Londe les Maures. This course will review the fundamentals of diffusion and present recent advances in the field. The lectures will address different aspects of diffusion: mechanisms, phenomenological laws, diffusion pathways, etc. The specific characteristics of diffusion in different types of materials (metals, semiconductors, oxides, intermetallics) will be detailed. Current experimental methods, as well as recent developments in simulations (kinetic Monte Carlo, ab initio, etc.) and modeling (concentrated alloys), will also be discussed. Finally, examples of diffusion-based applications will be presented, such as diffusive phase transformations in metals and reactive diffusion for contacts in microelectronics.

LCF-10 - Tenth International Conference on Low Cycle Fatigue
Continuing the successful series of LCF conferences established in 1979, the Tenth International Conference on Low Cycle Fatigue will be held in Dresden, Germany, from June 23 to 25, 2026. The permanent and even growing interest of the scientific community in low-cycle fatigue, including thermomechanical fatigue addresses on the one hand a broad range of applications, e.g. in energy technology, transportation, civil engineering, and several other topics. On the other hand, many scientific questions on fundamental deformation and damage mechanisms, influence of multiaxial stresses / strains, creep-fatigue and TMF/HCF interaction as well as crack initiation and growth are investigated with increasing experimental and simulative efforts, as well as using data driven approaches.

ICTAM 2028 - 27th International Congress of Theoretical & Applied Mechanics
SAVE THE DATE! Theodore von Karman and his sister Josephine organised a highly successful conference in Innsbruck in September 1922 on hydrodynamics and aerodynamics. Its success led them to suggest an International Congress spanning the whole domain of applied mechanics: the first ICTAM was in 1924 in Delft, The Netherlands. The International Congress in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ICTAM) attracts a diverse community of researchers from mathematics to engineering and applied sciences.
