This project is dedicated to choc mitigation and energy absorption of printed architectured materials and can be considered as a natural continuation of the methods and results presented in [Y. Balit, P. Margerit, E. Charkaluk, A. Constantinescu, Mechanics of Materials 160, 103915].
Three main topics emerge in the project:

  1. Design and optimization of architecture materials, in particular lattice structures
  2. Manufacturing of metallic architectured materials using different 3D printing technologies: SLM, DED, etc.
  3. Structural computations and testing under dynamic loading
