The aim of the thesis is to determine experimentally the metastable phase diagrams relevant for the SLM process of selected Al-alloys. Their composition will be based on considerations of solid- and liquid-state diffusion of solute elements. Their metastable phase diagram will be determined from well-designed experiments and compared with the corresponding equilibrium phase diagram. The supersaturation of the primary phase and its nano-precipitation during heat treatments will be investigated and correlated with microhardness measurements.
