Professor – Solids Mechanics

The Department of Mechanics at École Polytechnique invites applications for a part-time faculty position at the Professor level in solids mechanics.

Candidates must have demonstrated strong research and teaching capabilities. They must be able to contribute to the teaching of the Department of Mechanics at all levels of training (Bachelor’s, Ingénieur polytechnicien program and Master’s) and to the broadening the department’s course offerings at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, particularly in mechanics of materials domain. They will join one of the department’s laboratories and will have to invest strongly in the functioning of the department, in particular in the framework of the interdisciplinary center and the PhD track dedicated to materials.
