The micromechanics group in St. Etienne has an exciting opening for a postdoctoral fellow focusing on micromechanical testing under extreme conditions: deformation of micron-size samples at low/high temperatures, at quasi-static/high strain rates, and in the presence of hydrogen. The position is funded by the ANR, with an expected starting date as soon as possible, but preferentially in the beginning of 2024. I am looking for a candidate with a strong experimental background in mechanical testing (indentation, tension, compression, bending, preferentially at the micro/nano scale). Experience in simulation and modelling are a plus, but not essential. The contract is initially for 12 months, extendable by an additional year.
