The main objectives of the project are the following:

  • Validate  the  new   methodology   on  different   steels  by  post-mortem   studies  using conventional methods (ESDB mainly)
  • Check the possibility to apply for a patent on the developed technology for spot-detection and tracking, and thus for the industrial use of the methodology
  • Use of the method  to study  the recrystallisation  kinetics  on different  steels (effect of substitutional  elements on the interface mobility, pinning  effect by microalloying,  texture effect, …)
  • Improve and calibrate the coupled recovery/recrystallization model
  • Publish the result and participate to the dissemination of the technology
