Assistant Professor position in solids mechanics

The Department of Mechanics at École Polytechnique invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in solids mechanics.

PhD holders, candidates must have demonstrated strong research and teaching capabilities. They must be able to contribute to the teaching of the Department of Mechanics at all levels of training (Bachelor’s, Ingénieur polytechnicien program and Master’s) and must be integrated into the teaching teams of the fundamental mechanics courses and the more specialized courses. Their ability to contribute to project-based teaching and to strengthen the links between teaching, research and applications will be an important element.

The selected candidate will be a member of the Laboratoire de Mécanique des Solides (LMS), where she/he will develop original research.
